My writing goal for this was paragraphs. There were heaps of different times when the writing would change when a new characters talking or its a new time or its a different idea.

Anzac wit

This is my Anzac wit. We had to create something that had to do with the Gallipoli story. So we watch some videos and research for a week an a half. We also needed to know what art media mean so we also have to research that and what it mean is that it can be any type of art. My artwork show a headstone of the ones who fought in the Gallipoli War.

Wit

My art shows not to litter the sea. I chose this topic because I don't like seeing the sea

with rubbish in it  and fish and other sea creatures dying. Another reason I picked this

topic was so people would see from my painting not to litter. The art style I picked was

impressionism because it looks cool.

fishing

When I go fishing we normally go in the weekend And holiday.

At Our house we have a boat and two kayaks. We first had The two kayaks and then we got a boat a Year ago. I have been out on the boat and kayak.

Once when my dad  went on the kayak he caught a 23 pander snapper it was big.We have also got a tandem kayak so I can go on with him and anyone else.

The biggest fish I caught was on the bout it was a 13 pander snapper my dad help me a bit. The fish I caught by myself  is a 7 pander snapper.

Once we went on the boat with my dad friend and his son we caught a big shark we hurt it and put it back in the water so it didn’t get the line again and there were other blue shark that was circling around the bout so my dad hit it so it went away.

When the whole family went out it was my mom first time. And when I caught a snapper a little bit after the anchor came of it mite of been a big shark that chomp the rope of dad was annoyed and we drift fish for a bit and then we went home. We had enough fish for tea.And dad got a new anchor and put it on the cane.

On kayak and boat we have secret spots that we use. We are going to get a new boat and Selling the other one.

Carnival craft

My carnival craft is a bag.  It is like a tote bag.  The material that we used was old curtains.  I screen printed on my bag.  I had a cheetah picture on it.  At the carnival it cost $5.  I really enjoyed making the bag.

Going to Watch The All Blacks With Dad

The All Blacks played against Argentina at Yarrow Stadium in
New Plymouth.  Just me and my dad went. We wore lots of clothes because we thought it would be cold.
We had standing tickets. We were standing at the back and then we got
moved to the front and we went to the front and it was better. I had Fanta
and  crocodile lollies  and some mini donuts. My dad got a drink for himself
and had some of my food too. The game was good. Beauden Barrett
got a yellow card. There were some good tries. After the game we went
over to the other side of the stand and dad saw Jordie Barrett and got his signature and then we turned around and we saw Scott Barrett and got his signature. Some ladies were giving away free chips and nuggets. And then we went to see grandad  to tell tell him that we got signatures. Then mum and Eva came and picked us up when we got home mum and Eva went to bed. Me and my dad watched some of the rugby game on Prime. Then we went to bed. The next day my sister got to massage some of the All Blacks as she is a massage therapist. She was going to massage Beauden Barrett and dad text her to ask if she could get his signature. Later that night my sister dropped the signature at granny and grandads. So me and my dad went to pick it up. Then we went to dad’s work and laminated the signature and got a photo online.

WIT Reflection

For wit we were asked to do some work about bugs.

In my team is Connor and Finn.

For our wit we had to create a resource any age group we picked 7 and 8 year old.

We created a slideshow it took like a month. Te pihinga said it was good. I think the thing I we good at was the weta slide

Limerick

There was once a small, fluffy cat.

Who chased a cheeky, small rat.

The cat got thinner 

By not eating dinner

And had a nap, on the mat

                         

                       

Kowhaiwhai Art

This is my kowhaiwhaui art I used a stencil of a koru to represent me and my sister.I picked red and blue because I like these colours. My kowhaiwhai stemcil was flipped to a different place along the paper. I like my kowhaiwhai because it is different to everyone elses.

Cross country

On Wednesday it was the cross country I came 4 in the competitive race. My goal  was to go to the New Plymouth champs and I made it.

My highlight was doing laps around the school because it was the most easy to do. The New Plymouth champs was at Fitzroy.
We went up and down the hill for my training which I think was enough. Next year my goal is to go to Taranaki Champs.
I liked that there was a race and a relay cause I got to do more races.

I wrote an information report about snails. It was an invertebrate that was found in our Frankley School Bush. I hope you learn something new.

An Invertebrate that Lives in a Shell

Did you know that snails can live for up to 2-3 years?  The garden snail is a common snail. It is that active at night or during wet weather.  They are slow at moving using slime to help them slide along the ground.

Appearance

Snails are small and slimy and have two long eyes.  An adaptation that it has is a hard shell to protect itself from predators as snails move very slow. They can be as small as a pinhead or as big as a football.

Habitat

Snails live in gardens and where plants are. The snails enjoy plant fungi and algae dipping where they live. Some snails eat worms.

Breeding

Two snails touch tentacles, rub mouths and make lots of slime when they mate. They breed in spring.Garden snails are hermaphroditic, meaning they have both male and female reproductive organs. This means that each individual snail is capable of laying eggs.  Snails will typically choose to mate with a partner, a process that takes four to 12 hours.

Snails belong to the Mollusc Family.  This creepy crawly is known to everyone and if you see a trail of slime, be sure to watch under your feet!

Bunnies in two more weeks I am getting a bunny rabbit me and my sister. We have seen them and held them I want the black bunnies and my sister want a white and brown. I think They are about 5 weeks old at the moment. She had 5 boys rabbit. The breed they are mini lop. My dad made a cage for them and I helped him it took about a few weeks. When we went to see them it was by lunch when we got there she said that one of the girls had made a hole in the netting and the cat got it the lady said that wen the bunnies are bigger the cat doesn't get them.

Hiwi the Kiwi

Hiwi the kiwi came talking a band being safe on boats.  These are some of out fishing the stuff they talked about If you are going on something that is in the sea always were a life jacket.If you are going fishing on a boat take a wet towel and if you catch a fish and putting ng it back in the sea pick it with a wet towel because the scales on the fish are like sunblock to them and if you don't use a wet towel it could rub off the scales and then if you put it back in the sea it could die.And if you are going fishing take a bag with you so if you see  any rubbish pick it up because birds have been swallowing rubbish and thinking it is food and then die.And if you are going fishing take a ruler so you can see if   you can keep the fish.  It is best to throw back mums and babies for future generations.  And bring some Sat ice so the fish does not go of and all yacke. And if it is a mum fish put it back  in the water so there are fish for the future.

my birthday

We found out it was 48 days intall  my birthday.It was amazing.l am turning 9. I already know what I want for my birthday a Port Taranaki top and some lego. I want to get the lego police station and the fire station.This is who I am inviting to my birthday Mitchell, Cooper and Keiran. We are going to Marbles for tea. First we are going for a swim.  I  am looking forward to sitting in the spa pool  and then we are going to have tea. I can't wait intall my birthday it will be fun.
